This city has a mood of its own depending on the street one walks on. Never in New York there will be a dull moment where fashion repeats itself. Different zones, different streets different moods. For outsiders it can be described this way, every street in New York offers a different space for different personalities. Take Soho, our source of inspiration. The urban-street elegancy predominantly rules the fashion essence of Mercer, Prince, Green and Crosby streets. Every photograph shows different styles but with the same vibe. All of them carried an edge to the assemble, a fierce attempt that combines colors, stripes, prints, leather and jeans that result in a dangerous chic, rebellious but fashionable outfit. Clearly colors, BRIGHT COLORS, that were established as a fashion must during Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2001, take part on the captivating artsy vibe. The rebel trend makes every style seem lazy and effortless; making the Soho look a combination of James Dean meets a post Harry Potter Emma Watson.
Also there is a bit of an Avant Garde movement in some of the outfits, which is the consequence of the free artistic spirit that glides around these streets. The beauty of Soho is its artistic freedom, which translates to fashion experiments that result in beautiful, quirky yet real edgy outfits. The conglomeration of outfits forces the concept of elegancy to take a turn throughout these streets, making it more conventional, more risky yet simple.
It’s a loose, effortless yet very intimidating edgy style.
